Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Vhor ("we") makes an alarm app that you turn off by completing a challenge. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect only what the app needs, the camera never leaves your phone, and you can delete everything at any time.

What we collect

Account details: your email address, or phone number, or the name and email from your Google account if you sign in with Google. Passwords are stored by our authentication provider in hashed form — we never see them.

Profile: the username you choose, your points, streak and the date of your last completed challenge.

Alarms: the alarm times, days, labels and challenge settings you create, so they can be restored when you sign in on a new phone.

Challenge results: the challenge type, points, time taken and accuracy for each completed challenge.

Groups: groups you create or join and their members.

Payments (when Premium launches): the plan, amount, status and payment reference. Card or mobile-wallet details are handled by the payment provider and are never stored by us.

Onboarding answers (wake-up time, goals) stay on your phone unless you sign in.

What we do NOT collect

  • Camera images or video. Pose and object detection run entirely on your phone. Nothing is recorded, saved or uploaded.
  • Microphone audio. Vhor does not use the microphone.
  • Contacts, location, photos or files.
  • Advertising IDs. Vhor shows no ads and does not sell or share your data for advertising.

How we use your data

  • To run your account and sync your alarms.
  • To calculate points and streaks and show the leaderboard and groups. Your username, points and streak are visible to other Vhor users.
  • To send sign-in codes, password-reset links and important account messages.
  • To process Premium payments and prevent fraud.
  • To fix bugs and keep the service secure.

Phone permissions

  • Camera — only during a push-up, sit-up or object challenge.
  • Notifications, alarms & reminders, full-screen alerts — so the alarm can ring and show its challenge on time, even on a locked phone.
  • Battery optimisation exemption and auto-start (optional) — so your phone doesn’t block the alarm.
  • Motion sensor — to check the phone is set down during push-ups and sit-ups. Sensor data stays on your phone.

Services we use

We use trusted providers to run Vhor. They process data only on our behalf:

  • Supabase — database and sign-in.
  • Resend — sending emails.
  • Google — "Sign in with Google" (only if you choose it).
  • An SMS provider — sending sign-in codes (only if you sign in with a phone number).
  • A payment provider (such as bKash or Google Play) — processing Premium payments.
  • Vercel — hosting this website.

Your data may be stored on servers outside Bangladesh. We use providers that protect data with encryption in transit and at rest.

How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, alarms, challenge results and group memberships are deleted immediately. Payment records may be kept as long as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

  • See and change your username and alarms in the app at any time.
  • Delete your account and all its data in the app: Settings → Delete account. See our Delete account page.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it by emailing us.
  • Use Vhor without an account: alarms and challenges work without signing in.

Children

Vhor is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app for important changes.
